Crumble ala Saskatoon

Wow, it seems our weekend trip to the farm left us with more berries than I know what to do with.  This is proving to be problematic awesome.  I've already made pie, I guess the next thing to do would be to make a crumble.

Question.
Can a crumble be breakfast?  I mean it's pretty much oatmeal and fruit.  That screams breakfast to me.  Let's ignore that there is butter and sugar in this, and all start our morning off on the right foot.  Game?

Saskatoon Berry Crumble

Ingredients:
4 cups Saskatoon berries
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
3/4 cup rolled oats
1 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
pinch of nutmeg
3/4 cup unsalted butter

Method:
Preheat oven to 350F
In large bowl coat berries with white sugar and 1/2 Tbsp flour,  set aside.
In separate bowl, combine flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg.  Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Add berries to a 1.5qt corningware dish.  Top with oatmeal crumble.
Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until top is golden in colour.

Serve warm & w/ ice cream if desired.
Yields 6 servings
