Breakfast Style Banana Splits
It's no secret that I have fun in the kitchen, whether it's bunny shaped pancakes, Rice Krispie "sushi," or animal sandwiches, I get a kick out of playing with food, and the huge grin it put's on my kids faces.
For breakfast today I decided that I would make banana splits. And while it's perfectly acceptable for me to have ice cream before 9am, the kids are a different story. Time to break out my favourite....Greek Yogurt! Sweetened with a drizzle of honey, topped with berries and finally walnuts. I'm not sure which of the three of us enjoyed it more?
Happy Breakfast. And more importantly, Happy Friday!
Ingredients:
1 banana, peeled and cut in half lengthwise
1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
4 strawberries, sliced
handful of blueberries
drizzle of honey
1 Tbsp walnuts, chopped
Method:
Arrange banana halves on plate. Top with yogurt, drizzle with honey and layer on berries and nuts. enjoy!

Another fabulous recipe! Love the simplicity, the fun & it's healthy! I'll have to try this one for myself! I'll have to try your banana sushi too - I've been meaning to try something like that.
ReplyDeleteThanks! The kids and I had fun with this one. Perfectly healthy and guilt free.
