mount norquay, park distillery & bear street tavern


christmas and new years may be over, but now we have the return of our weekly sunday road trips to banff.
just like last year, mr handsome and i have enrolled the kids in the ski program at mount norquay, except unlike last year, this year they are in the full day program from 10-3pm.  which means mr. handsome and i have a solid 5 hours of quality husband-wife-day-date time.
my hope is that we try something different each week, from hiking to snow-shoeing, to football watching to a game of pickup basketball.

lunch - the park distillery



 park caesar salad |  grilled red onion, pickled tomatoes, cornbread croutons, asiago dressing, rotisserie chicken




dinner - bear street tavern




 the classic |  salami, mozzarella, pizza sauce {+ roasted pineapple}

the hawaiian |  pulled pork, roasted pineapple, bell peppers, caramelized onion, mozzarella, house bbq sauce, pizza sauce

the bison |  smoked bison, caramelized onions, edamame beans, mozzarella, pizza sauce


and dining along side us....2014 gold medal curling team and reigning canadian champions.  #prettycool
