pineapple banana green smoothie


it's officially the third week into the new year, how are your resolutions going?
do you believe in resolutions?  did you make any? or have you given up and reverted back to eating poutine and drinking too much chardonnay?

if you are looking for an easy way to get back on track and to add more fruit and veggies into your daily routine, then smoothies are your resolution solution.
loaded with protein and packed with nutrient rich food they are the perfect way to start the day or recover after a hard workout.


today i'm channeling the tropics and blending together a delicious pineapple banana & spinach smoothie.  delicious and exactly what my body has been craving.

pineapple banana green smoothie

ingredients:
1 frozen banana
1/2 cup crushed pineapple
1/2 cup plain greek yogurt
1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk, plus more to achieve desired consistency
1 large handful spinach
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1 tablespoon coconut flakes

method:
in blender or food processor, whirl together all ingredients until creamy and blended.  adding in more milk until desired consistency is reached.

  1. New year resolutions are there to break ;) Great smoothie, needs 2 tablespoons of chia seeds in my opinion because they are so awesome!
