spicy ginger green beans
2 lbs whole green beans
1/4 cup olive oil
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
in a large pot of boiling water cook beans till tender crisp, 3-5 minutes. drain and transfer to an ice bath to stop the cooking process.
in large skillet heat oil and add garlic, cook for 30 seconds. stir in ground ginger and crushed pepper flakes, add the beans. season with salt and cook for 2-3 minutes.
