Garlic Bread

when it comes to mr. handsome's birthday he doesn't like a lot of fuss.  he doesn't want a cake, a party, or presents.  this is where we differ entirely; i want all of the above and a month long celebration, chalk it up to the girl in me.

mr. handsome had only two requests for tonights birthday dinner.

garlic bread

aside from being a bacon enthusiast, he is also a carbivore.
a true lover of all things starchy.

happy birthday hubs.
looking forward to celebrating again tomorrow, where yet another starch will be devoured, pizza date night! xo.

Garlic Bread

Ingredients:
1/2 cup unsalted butter
6 cloves garlic, finely chopped
2 Tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
salt & freshly ground pepper
1 loaf French bread, sliced 3/4 of the way through into 1/2-inch thick slices

Method:
Preheat oven to 375F
Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat.  Add the garlic and let cook for 5 minutes.  Stir in the parsley and season with salt and pepper.  Brush each slice of the bread with the melted garlic butter (depending on your preference, use as much or as little as you'd like.)  Wrap the loaf in foil and bake in the oven for 10 to 15 minutes, or until heated through.

note:  if you prefer crispier garlic bread place under the broiler uncovered for 5 minutes.
