Nutella Buttercream Frosting
how? when? why? time please stop #thankyou.
we've pretty much celebrated L's birthday everyday since valentines day. if you're a math wizard like me, then you know that's four days of mini parties with friends & family in tow. that is also four days of froyo, pizza, cupcakes, mini road trips, bowling, build-a-bear, movies, more pizza, more cupcakes.
#exhausted #full #treadmilldate
initially when i asked L what he'd like me to make for his special birthday treat he said pie.
yay! pie is my favourite/go-to birthday dessert, so this was more than doable, it was welcomed with open arms & mouths.
lemon pie it is.
graham cracker crust - check
sky-high meringue - check.
delicious lemon filling - double check.
then it happened....
out of no where, as in the eleventh hour, L decides that vanilla cupcakes and chocolate frosting would be preferable.
huh? seriously? preferable to pie?
and just like that my pie dreams were crushed.
i suppose i can't blame him entirely, indecisiveness is a trait that he inherently got from me...
cupcakes it is.
happy birthday L. xo
ps. next year lets have pie.
or, perhaps i will just make a "because i love you, pie"
pps. L, you should know that you make us proud with each and every passing day. you are a true blessing, wonderful in every way, and you enrich our lives without even knowing it. thank you for being you. a true gift to the world, we love you!
