Crispy Ravioli

Question.  What's better than cheese stuffed ravioli?
Answer.  Oven baked cheese stuffed ravioli.

These toasty, bite-sized, cheese filled pockets of wonderfulness, are perfect for dipping.  They are also great for sharing, should you choose to be so generous.  Or, option #2, hog them to yourself, and munch away while catching up on all your favourite TV shows.  (no judgement)


Oven Toasted Ravioli


1 - 350g package fresh spinach & cheese ravioli
1 1/4 cups Panko bread crumbs
1 whole egg + 1 egg white,  lightly whisked
1/2 tsp dried parsley
1/2 tsp dried basil
1/4 tsp granulated garlic
1/4 tsp sea salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/3 cup Parmesan cheese

marinara sauce, for dipping


Preheat oven to 375F.  Line baking sheet with aluminium foil and spray with non-stick spray.  Set aside.
In shallow dish or pie plate whisk together eggs.  Set aside.
In a small bowl combine bread crumbs, parsley, basil, garlic, cheese, salt and pepper.  Mix well.
Dip the ravioli in egg wash, allowing the excess to drip off, coat with breadcrumb mixture.  Place on prepared baking sheet, and repeat with remaining ravioli.
Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until browned and crispy.
Serve with warmed marinara sauce for dipping.
