I inherited a couple of zucchini's yesterday, courtesy of my parent's garden. Since I don't have a garden in my backyard, the next best thing is that my parent's do. All of the benefits and none of the work. Thanks Mom & Dad! Today just so happens to be the first day back to school for the little man, and he couldn't have been more excited. Me? I'm fighting back the tears. L was super excited to meet his new teacher, see his old friends again and of course rock a super cool Batman t-shirt and Lightening McQueen backpack. He is one styling kid! So, because today is a special one, of course we have to start the morning off right. What better way than with a bowl oatmeal that tastes like zucchini bread. Top it off with some pecans and chocolate chips (for good luck of course), now this is brain food. With a full stomach and a kiss on the cheek, my little man was off. Pass the Kleenex. Why is the first day of school always harder on the parents?
