Summer 2017 Road Trip | Seattle

when we initially planned this road trip, i was under the impression it was going to be similar to the one we took 2 years ago, strictly BC.  mr. handsome however had a surprise up his sleeve and something different in mind.  since we were already stationed on the west coast he had the brilliant idea of heading down to Seattle to check out a mariners game and explore the city.  he's been to Seattle once before, last year, on a boys trip to watch an NFL game, but the kids & i had never been.

our first stop when we got to the city was to check out the public market.  it was amazing and overwhelming, and the fresh flowers were simply stunning, if i lived there 100% of my disposable income would be spent on buying them daily, oh and the fresh fish too! (a girl needs to eat)
 while poking around the market, we found the famous gum wall and promptly made our contributions, everyone, except mr. handsome, he was a little put off by the idea.

that night we headed to the mariners vs. A's game and Liam and Rowan got a celebrity mascot escort & certificates for attending their first ever MLB game. thanks moose! it was a fantastic experience and one the kids won't soon forget, in fact according to Liam, 'it was the highlight of the trip!'

the next day we took a ride on the ferris wheel at the pier, visited the space needle and then we went on a pizza crawl (Seattles version of tacofino), followed by a nightly swim (which i've determined we are now suffering withdrawal from, the bathtub just isn't the same)

as far as food went; i turned to my trusted instagram followers for recommendations and they didn't disappoint. the fact that my pants no longer fit, serves as proof. #worthit

i even stumbled on my own gem, while walking through the city, who can turn down a tuna poke bowl?  Seattle you win!
