Drumheller | Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology CAMP IN

this past weekend our little family along with 24 more of our neighbours and friends headed east to drumheller to take part in a camp in at the Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology.
yes, to sleep under dinosaurs.  how cool is that.

the camp in started at 7pm on saturday night, so we decided to head up around 3 and make a quick stop half way for an early dinner before beginning our camp in.

the camp in included 4 activities, including painting a dinosaur pendant, sifting through rocks to find teeth, fossils, shells, etc, a flashlight tour of under water creatures and excavating fossils using different tools.
before lights out we were treated to a nighttime snack because it's a well known fact you sleep better on a stomach filled with banana bread.

the next morning we woke early, were treated to a delicious breakfast, watched a movie, spent too much money in the gift shop, and then spent the remainder of the morning touring the museum with our friends.

it was the perfect family fun weekend getaway.
close, super affordable ($39/person) and highly recommended.

cheers.  xo.
