Annual Girls Lake Weekend & Whisky Sours Win
this past weekend my best friend and i took our annual trip to baynes lake just outside of fernie for some much needed peace, quiet, rose consumption & a few whisky sours along the way.
it was amazing, much needed and went by way too quickly.
we managed to get in a beautiful hike with scenery shots worth the the busted knee {kudos B} for. i mastered the art of hula hooping and wood chopping {not at the same time, but wouldn't that be something} and thanks to our friends at black fly booze we were treated to delicious whisky sours to keep hydrated. not too sweet, but tangy and tart and everything i love in a cocktail.
being from alberta, black fly booze is something new to me. the company was founded in 2005, as ontario's first micro-distillery. they pride themselves on products with a more natural and less sweet premium spirit beverages, using quality ingredients that only recently entered the alberta marketplace. yay for me.
quality and taste were on point and we thoroughly enjoyed.
this is likely to become our new summer regular since we are now in peak the cocktail/lake life season.
cheers.xo.
